Utility Rebate
GasNetworks companies, like National Grid and NSTAR, are providing customers with big rebates. Condensing natural gas boilers with an AFUE of 90% or better are eligible for a $1,000 rebate. Natural gas forced hot water boilers with an AFUE of 85% or better are eligible for a $500 rebate. Natural gas steam boilers with electronic ignition and an AFUE of 85% of better are eligible for a $200 rebate.

Federal Tax Credit
All boilers, gas or oil, with an AFUE of 90% or better are eligible for a 30% federal tax credit limited to $1,500.
