Utility Rebate
GasNetworks companies, like National Grid and NSTAR, are providing customers with big rebates. Natural gas furnaces with an AFUE of 92% and an electronic commutated motor (ECM) are eligible for a $400 rebate. Natural gas furnaces with an AFUE of 92% and no ECM are eligible for a $100 rebate.

Federal Tax Credit
Natural gas and propane furnaces with an AFUE of 95% or better and oil furnaces with an AFUE of 90% or better are eligible for a 30% federal tax credit limited to $1,500.
