Utility Rebate
National Grid customers are eligible for a 15% rebate up to $1,500 when they opt to install a solar hot water system.
State Tax Credit
In Rhode Island, solar hot water systems with 60 square feet of collector space and an 80 gallon storage tank are eligible for a tax credit of 25% up to $1,750.
In Massachusetts, solar hot water systems are eligible for a 15% tax credit with a limit of $1,000.
Federal Tax Credit
All solar hot water systems meeting equipment standards are eligible for a 30% tax credit with no limit. This tax credit is off the full cost of installation less any rebates applied!
